Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 11, 2026 · Hammoch Apps (“we”) for the Futures from Fiction iOS app.

Summary

Futures from Fiction is designed as a reader-first reference app. The template ships without third-party analytics SDKs. When you open a research link, you leave the app’s in-app browser context and the destination site’s own privacy policy applies.

Data we collect

We do not ask you to create an account in the app. We do not intentionally collect your name, email address, or contacts through the app itself. Apple may provide aggregate App Store analytics and crash diagnostics according to your device settings—see Apple’s privacy materials for how that works.

Data stored on your device

The app may store the bundled idea catalog and optional downloaded catalog updates locally (for example using SwiftData) so content is available offline. That data stays on your device unless you delete the app or use system controls to erase it.

Tracking

The app’s privacy manifest declares that we do not use the system “tracking” flag for cross-app tracking. If a future version adds analytics or advertising, we will update this policy and the privacy manifest before release.

Children

The app is suitable for general audiences interested in science and careers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have done so in error, contact us and we will delete it where required by law.

Your choices

You can stop using the app at any time, delete it from your device, and adjust Safari / system privacy settings that affect in-app browsing and link previews.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app’s behavior changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change, and material changes will be reflected here before or alongside an App Store update when practical.
